THE #1 SOLUTION FOR GrOUP MUSIC LESSON FOR YOUNG CHILDREN WORLDWIDE

🌞About Music

Sunshine Music Start is a 6-week Beginner Entry Programme designed for young children who are starting music for the first time.

Instead of a one-off introductory session, children attend weekly in-person lessons, children attend weekly in-person lessons in a real class setting. This allows them to settle into routines, build confidence, and experience our teaching approach properly — without rushing into long-term commitment.

The programme is especially suitable for children aged 3 to 6, and for families who want a structured, thoughtful start to music learning.

🎶 How the Programme Works

Over 6 weeks, your child will:

Attend weekly 60-minute small-group lessons

Learn with the same teacher and classmates each week

Follow the official programme curriculum using required materials

Develop listening skills, musical awareness, and classroom confidence

This consistent weekly structure helps young learners feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.

Why We Use a Structured Entry Programme

Once our regular classes begin, we prioritise class quality and consistency for all students.

Rather than offering one-off introductory session, Sunshine Music Start allows children to:

Experience real weekly lessons

Build familiarity with the classroom and teacher

Learn at a comfortable, age-appropriate pace

Decide on continuation after meaningful exposure

This approach leads to better learning outcomes and smoother long-term progress.

🔄 What Happens After the 6 Weeks?

At the end of the programme:

Teachers will assess each child’s readiness and learning pace
A suitable class placement for the next stage will be recommended.

Families may choose to continue into the regular programme

There is no obligation to continue.

The Beginner Entry Programme simply provides a clear, supportive starting point.

✨ A Thoughtful Way to Begin

We believe young beginners deserve more than a quick one-off introductory session—
they deserve time, structure, and encouragement to grow in confidence.

TESTIMONIALS

What Our Parents And Students Say...

"Started at 3 years old"

Both my kids started music with Teacher Anne at MYC Orchard when they were 3. Now, my daughter is 14 and doing her Diploma—still learning with her! Teacher Anne makes lessons fun with creative activities, and most importantly, she’s so patient and kind. Never once lost her temper. We’re really lucky to have her as our teacher!

"Engaging and Effective. Completed Grade 8 at Primary 4"

My daughter started MYC with Teacher Anne when she was three. Unlike other music centres, music lessons were crafted to engage the child who can learn effectively with a powerful host of characters representing different notes and rhythm. Lessons were fun and there was no dreary feeling of having to attend a class. She completed Grade 8 in Primary 4, and is currently pursuing her Diploma in Secondary 1. She loves playing the piano, is eager to learn new songs and Teacher Anne always has a wide variety of pieces to cater to each child’s preferences.

"Children spurred each other to perform better"

Both my children learnt music with teacher Anne. She is the most enthusiastic and dedicated teacher I have encountered thus far, willingly going the extra mile to help each child to reach their full potential. I was initially quite dubious about how effective group music classes could be, but had no more doubts after sitting in on her classes and seeing how the children spurred each other on to perform better. Would highly recommend!
